Criminal Justice Reform at UTEC

UTEC provides wrap-around services to help young adults trade violence and poverty for social and economic success. As part of their journey, young adults are encouraged to join UTEC’s organizing crew.

A few months ago, Fredo Estevez (center) spoke at the Massachusetts State House.

“I believe in young people and I think we deserve a chance or even multiple opportunities at getting things right. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about the friends that I have lost to the streets or the justice system. Investing in (criminal justice reform) is not just an investment in young people, it’s an investment in the future and health of our communities.”
