The Superstar Foundation, established by Steve Butz in 2007,  is a nonprofit organization dedicated to celebrating and recognizing top performing human service professionals. Steve Butz created The Veronica Award to honor his memory of his mother, Veronica Butz, who always recognized human service professionals for their diligent work.  Each year in December, four fantastic human service professionals become heroes within their community by constantly thinking big and using data results to improving outcomes.

One of the four honorees this year is UTEC’s very own Transitional Coach, Tom Sun – making it UTEC’s third staff to receive The Superstar Foundation’s Veronica Award.

UTEC’s Executive Director, Gregg Croteau, expresses the values Tom has showcased in the past eight years serving young adults. “Tom Sun is our longest-serving Transitional Coach. He really lives the UTEC values, especially chipping away with each young person on his portfolio to work through their challenges and make progress toward their goals. We’re so glad to see Tom’s commitment recognized by the Superstar Foundation.”
