In the next couple weeks UTEC will officially open its latest enterprise – a large commercial community kitchen designed to serve a variety of community partners and food entrepreneurs in need of a state-of-the-art production kitchen.
This brand new facility will offer 5,000 square feet with multiple workstations and a wide array of processing, cooking, and packaging equipment, making it the largest commercial kitchen in the area. With flexible scheduling and competitive rental rates, this facility will be able to accommodate up to three separate groups at the same time with ample room to store, prepare, and finish a variety of retail food products.
For the full story, see the recent Lowell Sun article and video.
This ambitious enterprise would not have been possible without the ongoing assistance and support of several key UTEC partners, all of whom are committed to making Lowell a growing center for entrepreneurs and innovative new businesses: The City of Lowell, EforAll, and Mill City Grows.
